What We Do

The VoteProof framework centers on its specialized Receipt Printer.

Each Receipt Printer is paired with one ballot scanner via a one-way wired connection. These printers are tamper-evident, state-auditable, and fully transparent with no connection to the internet. The purpose of the Receipt Printer is twofold:

Maintain an independent tally of the votes cast through the associated ballot scanner.
Provide voters with evidence of the vote they’ve cast with a physical receipt.

The VoteProof Receipt Printer:

Operates with software that is independently audited for security
Operates without internet

A VoteProof Receipt

A VoteProof Receipt informs a voter of how their selections were read by the ballot scanner. Each receipt is associated with a randomly-generated unique alphanumeric code. This serves as the only identification mechanism in VoteProof’s database. There is no personal information recorded by VoteProof.

Following an election, voting data is manually transferred from Receipt Printers to VoteProof servers.

After polls close, voters may enter the VoteProof code printed on their receipt at voteproof.com to view their vote online. This process ensures their candidate selections remain tallied as recorded.
